Favignana is a unique Aegadian island to visit by boat charter. The island's terrain ranges from a large flat plain on the east side, to a mountain range that cuts across the center and slopes into the ocean on the west side. Favignana is the largest of the Aegadian islands, and the most developed and inhabited.
It was the site of Punic war battles, and is associated with extensive marine history and legend. Numerous archaeological sites can be found at Favignana, including ancient cave paintings. There are also several inland and offshore grottos to explore. The main tourist attractions are the very fine white sand beaches and the crystal clear and clean water
