Syracuse is the perfect base for an Italian yacht charter of Southern Sicily and Malta. Syracuse (Siracusa) is located on the east coast of Sicily, 70 km south of Catania. It was founded by Greek settlers in VIII century B.C. and contains numerous Greek archaeological sites, including a theatre, temples, and neapolis. In addition, there are several notable Roman ruins, including a Roman amphitheatre. Furthermore, there are numerous castles, churches, and museums. The port is located near the old town and within walking distance to numerous stores.
